Job description
Due to a number of successfully awarded tenders, my client, a major Electrical contractor operating in the Victorian commercial construction market has asked me to source them an Electrical Project Manager to join their existing management team. The business deliver projects between $8M and $30M for tier 1 & 2 builders and most of their work is repeat business.

This position will see you responsible for the overall management of projects with the support of a Foreman and Director.

Tasks & responsibilities
  • Lead the project organisation, managing the progress of the project whilst delivering to specified timeframes and budgets;
  • Oversee staff and internal resources; 
  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation, administration and forecasting; 
  • Participate in the tender process including design, submission and review;
  • Create project reviews and prepare reports for management team;
  • Manage relationships with clients and other stakeholders;
  • Lead by example whilst supporting and mentoring staff;


Qualifications & experience

Coupled with your previous project management experience, the ideal candidate will hold the following:
  • Able to read and understand complex electrical and construction drawings
  • Previous experience managing Design and Construct projects 
  • Sound computer literacy skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Levesys would be an advantage).
  • A strong understanding and working knowledge of all Australian Electrical Standards, OH&S, Environmental Management and Quality Systems.
  • Must possess a high-level knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to OH&S principles and practices, safety is our highest priority on each site, the Project Manager drives this culture with the workers onsite.
  • Driver’s licence
  • Minimum of 3 years Electrical Project Management experience preferred
