We’re seeking an experienced Pre-Contracts Manager to join a civil construction company known for its innovative approach and successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects. This role is central to our pre-construction phase, where you’ll take the lead on tendering, contract negotiations, and ensuring that all contractual obligations are meticulously managed.

You will work closely with senior management, project teams, and external stakeholders to ensure that projects are set up for success from the outset. Your ability to navigate complex contract terms and conditions, while balancing commercial and operational needs, will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the entire tendering process, from initial enquiry through to final submission
Develop and negotiate contract terms, ensuring alignment with company objectives and project requirements
Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks during the pre-contract phase
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, legal requirements, and best practices
Provide strategic input into bid/no-bid decisions and contribute to the overall business development strategy
Requirements:
Proven experience in pre-contract management within the construction industry, ideally in civil or environmental projects
Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
A deep understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and risk management
Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, construction management or a related field
