Job description
Due to rapid business growth, one of our clients is looking for a Small Tools Mechanic to join their Yatala branch.
The Small Tools Mechanic will be responsible for the service, repair, troubleshooting and operational efficiency of all construction hire equipment. It will be primarily a workshop based role but some construction site work will be required from time to time for urgent repairs, troubleshooting or maintenance.
Duties
The role will be casual for the initial 6 month probation with scope for it to transition to full time employment.

The Small Tools Mechanic will be responsible for the service, repair, troubleshooting and operational efficiency of all construction hire equipment. It will be primarily a workshop based role but some construction site work will be required from time to time for urgent repairs, troubleshooting or maintenance.
Duties
- Provide basic scheduled and unscheduled services to small tools and equipment (filters, pull cords, etc),
- Tool and equipment repairs and rebuilds
- Maintain a high standard & quality of tools and equipment,
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment over the phone or in person,
- Assist and conduct basic yard duties incl. cleaning, organising, relocating equipment,
- Receiving of spare parts and other incendiaries,
- Maintain equipment records electronically or hardcopy,
- Be able to do basic servicing to 2 stroke engines, Kubota equipment, Perkins equipment, etc
- You will be working on various tools and equipment such as:
- Light towers
- Generators
- Fuel filters
- Small engines – mowers, line trimmers
- Pumps
- etc
- Experience in maintaining plant equipment, small tools and maintenance around the depot,
- Ideally come with mechanic qualifications (LV, Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle, etc
- Mechanically minded, experience in a warehouse & basis welding,
- White Card – Construction Industry & ideally a Forklift license,
- Sound knowledge of WHS,
- Current drivers license.
