- A commercial builder with a portfolio of projects across the country – a mix of third party builds as well their own developments
- Commercial, industrial and retail projects – warehousing, large format retail, selected commercial developments as well as government projects locally
- PM role – report to the CM and oversee your projects from cradle to grave
- CA role – you will work closely with an existing PM assisting in the financial management and general coordination of projects in office and on site as required.
- Strong pipeline of work in the medium to long term.
Your Responsibilities
As a Project Manager you will be the driving force behind the successful delivery of their project – on time, to budget and to spec. You will thrive on ownership, be a clear communicator (client and subbie relationships are key with this company) and can lead teams with confidence. Your key duties will be
- Manage all phases of the project lifecycle
- Liaise with clients, consultants and site teams
- Drive scheduling, procurement and budgeting
- Ensure compliance quality and safety standards are met.
As a Contracts Administrator you will play a key role in keeping the commercial engine of their projects running smoothly – handling contracts, variations, procurement and compliance with finesses. You will also play a key role in supporting the site delivery team in general coordination duties from head office, and site as required. Your key duties will include:
- Administer head contracts and subcontracts
- Manage RFI’s, claims, variations and procurement processes
- Support the PM with financial reporting and project documentation.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and other project stakeholders such as architects, superintendents and regulatory authorities.
Experience/Qualifications/Salary:
For the PM role:
- A track record in successful delivery of commercial construction projects within a head contract environment (D&C experience would be highly regarded)
- Exceptional grounding in project financials
- Strong understanding of project management software and reporting
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, or equivalent
- A salary package in the $190k-$230k range is available, dependent upon experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management (or similar) is essential with proven experience as a CA or PC within the commercial construction sector in Australia
- An ability to read and interpret plans, have strong financial acumen and be well organised
- Exceptional communications skills – you will be liaising with subbies and project stakeholders on a daily basis
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- A salary package in the $100k-$130k range is available, dependent upon expeirence
