Job description

Your new employer is a medium-sized family-owned business based in Dandenong South. The Accounts Payable & Payroll Administrator will be responsible for efficiently managing both accounts payable and payroll functions. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


The Role

Key responsibilities may include (but not limited to) the following:

Accounts Payable:

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.

  • Prepare and process payments, ensuring adherence to payment schedules.

  • Maintain accurate records of all AP transactions.

  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.


Payroll:

  • Process payroll for employees accurately and on time.

  • Ensure compliance with EBA requirements

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.


Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.

  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned



The Person

The ideal candidate will bring to the table the following skills and prior experiences:

  • Prior experience having worked with both accounts payable and payroll.

  • On the payroll side, experience working with EBAs is highly preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.


As this is a full-time, permanent position, candidates must hold full working rights for Australia without restriction or an end date. This role is full-time office-based and candidates must be within reasonable commuting distance to Dandenong South. Remote applicants unfortunately cannot be considered at this time.
