Job description
Fetch Recruitment are currently looking to speak to HSEQ Advisor within Melbourne for multiple tier 2/3 commercial builders.
 
The Builders:
  • Engaged in the Tier 2/3 commercial construction sector, specializing in high-value projects.
  • Cultivating robust relationships across Victoria, which secures a consistent pipeline of opportunities.
  • Proven track record in delivering detailed new builds and refurbishments across a variety of sectors including Defence, Health, Education, Data Centres, and large-scale Commercial projects, all valued at $50 million and above.

The Role:
  • Facilitate project teams and contractors in effectively utilizing our HSE software platforms, such as Hammertech.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning regarding health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices, supporting audits, inspections, and compliance with evolving regulatory standards.
  • Anticipate and manage the procurement of necessary HSE supplies—such as signage and safety equipment—to ensure project teams are fully equipped to meet their responsibilities.
  • Oversee projects located in Melbourne city and surrounding areas.
  • Balance responsibilities between on-site and office environments, with most tasks conducted in a site environment.
  • Provide guidance to management, project teams, and contractors on safety and environmental duties, including the preparation, review, and upkeep of relevant documentation.
  • Review critical data and reports related to ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 standards, as well as OFSC audits, contributing to the development of strategies to address any identified deficiencies
  • Enhance employee HSE training by assisting in the design and delivery of internal programs and coordinating bookings with external training providers.
  • Support the reporting and resolution of workplace incidents, ensuring follow-up on corrective actions and validating their effectiveness.
  • Engage in risk management practices and uphold quality management by maintaining comprehensive records and documents concerning health, safety, and environmental issues.
  • Develop client-specific HSE documentation, such as Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), to assist the Defects Manager and post-completion teams in exceeding client expectations.
 
Must have:
  • 4 years+ experience in a similar OH&S/WHS/HSR role.
  • Minimum of Certificate IV in OHS.
  • Commercial construction-based experience, complex projects minimum.
  • Must be proficient with using Hammertech.
