Job description
My client is an established and well-respected builder, now expanding into a new business arm and seeking a Management Accountant to work as a standalone capacity for this new business unit - a fully automated robotics production line.
Now seeking an autonomous and innovative-minded individual to take control of management accounts, budgets, inventory management, stock control and further. This is a permanent, full-time, office-based opportunity based near Melbourne Airport (onsite parking provided) that will pay a competitive salary for the right individual.

The Role
Key responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts, budgets, and variance analysis.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring accuracy in stock records and optimizing inventory turnover.
- Monitor production costs, analyze cost variances, and suggest cost-saving measures.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monitor cash flow.
- Conduct financial analysis to support pricing, cost-benefit decisions.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and procurement team members as needed.
- Develop and refine accounting processes, particularly for inventory management.
The Person
The ideal candidate will join bringing the following skills and past experiences:
- CPA or CA qualification would be preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of management accounting experience, with expertise in inventory and stock control.
- Exposure working in Construction, Building Materials, Manufacturing, Robotics or similar would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a standalone role
