Job description
My client is an experienced and dedicated team focusing on commercial and community landscape construction. My Clients offers a specialised landscape construction and maintenance services across Victoria, and provide a seamless transition from civil to landscape.

Due to continued growth my client are looking for a Project Engineer to join their team. The purpose of the project engineer is to manage the technical aspects of the project from planning to implementation.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of landscaping projects in wetlands, parks, and playgrounds.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and environmental experts to develop and implement effective designs.
  • Ensure projects comply with environmental regulations, sustainability goals, and safety standards.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Conduct site visits and supervise the work of contractors and subcontractors.
  • Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
  • Resolve any technical or logistical challenges that arise during project execution.
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of construction work to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Provide technical support to other team members and stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably in landscaping, environmental design, or park construction.
  • Strong knowledge of wetlands ecosystems, park design, and playground safety standards.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and contract management.
