About the Role:
In this role, you will take the lead in managing and executing a range of civil infrastructure projects throughout Queensland. These projects include large-scale urban developments, roadworks, drainage systems, and public infrastructure. You will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and design to execution and handover, ensuring that each project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Scope of Work:
- Urban Development: Manage and deliver residential and commercial subdivisions, including road construction, utilities installation, and landscaping.
- Roadworks: Oversee the construction and upgrade of roads, including earthworks, pavement construction, and traffic management.
- Drainage Systems: Coordinate the installation and maintenance of complex drainage networks, ensuring effective water management.
- Public Infrastructure: Lead the development of parks, recreational facilities, and other essential public amenities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, making adjustments as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Provide technical expertise and support to project teams.
- Prepare and present regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management within the civil construction industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).
