Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the pre-contracts phase, providing accurate cost estimations and risk assessments
- Collaborate with estimators, planners, and senior management to prepare project bids and proposals
- Transition to a site-based role to manage project delivery, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards
- Oversee project teams and provide technical leadership on large civil infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards at all stages of the project
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and reporting, identifying any issues and implementing solutions proactively
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and site staff
About You: We’re looking for someone with a blend of strong technical expertise and commercial insight, who thrives in both pre-construction and on-site environments. You will need:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in civil construction, with a strong focus on infrastructure projects (experience in both pre-contracts/estimating and site-based roles is a plus)
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from bid to delivery
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple stakeholders
- A proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail and a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes
