Job description
My client is a long-established SME business based in the eastern suburbs. 


The Role

This is a highly transactional role and you'll be responsible for managing crucial aspects of administration and financial operations; collaborating with the CFO on various tasks, and contributing to the smooth financial management of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and subsidiary ledger support
  • Support in payroll GL postings and reconciliations
  • Monitor subsidiary debtors' ledger and project transactions
  • Assist the CFO in accounting software integration
  • Review project cost and cash flow reports
  • Maintain project bank guarantee and leasing schedules
  • Prepare cost centre financial statements and reconcile sub-ledger trial balances
  • Review and support Workcover remuneration estimates
  • Review trade creditor applications and manage credit processes
  • Assist with EBA payroll processing and statutory compliance


The Person


Given the transactional nature of this role, it may best suit someone with prior experience working in a small team or standalone Finance or Bookkeeping role.

  • Prior experience working as an Accounts/Finance Officer, Assistant Accountant or Bookkeeper.
  • Industry expertise from Construction, Building Services, Manufacturing or similar industries would be preferred.
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation skills and attention to detail
  • High level of English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Working knowledge of employment conditions associated with Payroll
  • Deep interest in learning and developing your skillset
