Job description
Our client is a boutique development firm with offices in Melbourne's inner suburbs. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Finance Officer will oversee all financial operations for the business in collaboration with the external CFO, providing vital support to the team.
This is a permanent, part-time position offering approx 30 hours per week (slightly more or less can be considered). This can be worked as 4 full days or 5 shorter days. 2 days per week Work From Home will be offered as standard. Office attendance will be expected the remainder of the week.

The Role
Key Responsibilities may include (but not limited to) the following:
- Financial Reporting & Management: Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Budgeting & Cash Flow: Monitor cash flow, develop budgets, and perform variance analysis.
- Accounts & Payroll: Manage accounts payable/receivable, reconcile accounts, and oversee payroll processing.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main finance contact for internal and external stakeholders
The Person
The ideal candidate will join bringing the following skills and prior expertise:
- Proficiency across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and more
- Prior experience in Property, Project Management, Construction or related industries (in a Finance capacity) would be preferred although not essential
- Prior experience in a standalone role or small team / business would also be preferred
- Intelligent, friendly and excellent communication skills, able to multi-task and contribute to a positive office culture
