Job description
THE COMPANY & ROLE
  • Niche developer/builder on commercial, industrial and retail projects who operate across Victoria and beyond
  • Great pipeline of projects in Melbourne’s growth suburbs and regional Victoria
  • You will partner up with the company’s Senior PM who has established a permanent office in Melbourne (inner west) – a great opportunity to be mentored and developed.
  • Oversee the delivery of all construction elements of the projects from cradle to grave.
THE DUTIES

Project Planning & Coordination
  • Assist in developing detailed project plans including timelines, budgets and resource allocation
  • Support the PM in defining project scopes and key deliverables
  • Liaise with consultants, architects and statutory authorities regarding design and permitting issues
 
Project Execution & Delivery
  • Setup & maintain Project Letting Schedule and prepare subcontractor packages, scopes and schedules
  • Support the PM in managing project budgets and expenses and manage and track project expenditure, inclusive of subcontractor claims and variations.
  • Administer RFI’s to architects, consultants and clients
 
Communication and Management
  • Support the implementation and management of HSEQ standards
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, subcontractors and other project stakeholders through the whole project lifecycle
  • Assist in preparing project status reports and presentations
 
ABOUT YOU
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or related discipline
  • Experience working in a commercial construction environment where you have demonstrated experience in liaising with a range of commercial subcontractors
  • Demonstrated experience with construction industry specific software such as Procore, Aconex and cost management systems
  • Self motivated, an ability to work independently when required and first rate communication skills – you will have daily interaction with subcontractors and repeat clients
  • Drivers license essential and an ability to travel to site as required (travel costs reimbursed)
