Job description
My client, a well-known and respected building services consulting firm has asked me to assist them in finding a senior hydraulic design engineer to join their established team operating from Melbourne's CBD.
You will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and delivery of hydraulic systems to a wide range of jobs across the commercial building and infrastructure spaces.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver recognisable projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, analysis, and delivery of hydraulic engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct hydraulic modelling and analysis.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to junior engineers, project teams and the engineering manager.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions.
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively, ensuring client satisfaction.
• Contribute to business development, including proposals, tenders, and client relationship management.
The role exists due to a number of new project awards and a desire to bolster the team in line with the expected increase in workload going into 2025 and beyond.
