Job description
Fetch Recruitment are currently looking to speak to HSEQ Coordinators within Melbourne for an exceptional commercial main contractor. This role is suitable for HSE professionals who have a couple years’ experience under their belt within safety and are looking to move into a large-scale commercial builder.
 
The Builder:
  • A Longstanding and respected builder who deliver projects across Victoria and other states.
  • Strong relationships across Victoria, enabling the builder to have a consistent pipeline of commercial projects.
  • Detailed new builds and refurbishments in a broad range of markets including education, industrial, health and large-scale commercial projects.
 
The Role:
  • Site based HSE Coordinator position on a $50m+ industrial project.
  • Help project teams and contractors fully engage with our HSE software platforms, such as Hammertech.
  • Cultivate a continuous learning approach towards health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices, aiding in audits, inspections, and ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory standards.
  • Forecast necessary project HSE supplies, such as signage, safety equipment, and other requirements, to ensure project teams are fully equipped to fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Offer support to management, project teams, and contractors regarding safety and environmental responsibilities, including the preparation, review, and maintenance of related documentation.
  • Assist in reviewing essential data and reports (ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001) and contribute to developing strategies to address any identified weaknesses.
  • Enhance employee HSE training by contributing to the development and delivery of internal programs and managing the booking process with external training providers.
  • Assist in reporting and resolving workplace incidents, including follow-up on corrective actions and verifying their effectiveness.
  • Engage in risk management practices and ensure quality management through the maintenance of records and documents related to health, safety, and environmental matters.
 
Must have:
  • 2 years+ experience in a similar OH&S/WHS/HSR role.
  • Minimum of Certificate 4 in OHS.
  • Experience working within construction (Commercial experience highly regarded).
  • Must be proficient with using Hammertech.
