Job description
Fetch Recruitment are currently looking to speak to OHS Officers within Melbourne for an exceptional Tier 3 commercial fit out builder, this role is an initial 5 month contract position with a strong possibility of moving permanent.

The Role:
  • Site based OHS Officer, the role will include both site clean up and OHS protocols.
  • Project based in Dandenong south, commercial warehouse fit out project.
  • Using BuildPass to successfully complete Health and Safety based objectives on site.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with industry regulations, site safety protocols, and company HSEQ policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address HSEQ issues promptly and effectively.
  • Directly report to/collaboratively work alongside the company Project Manager to plan ongoing OH&S requirements.
  • Review sub-contractor SWMS.
  • Lead comprehensive on-site safety audits: Identify potential hazards, ensure compliance with safety standards, and recommend corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Effective administration and communication with subbies, project management and client/s
 
Must have:
  • 2 years+ experience in a similar OH&S/WHS/HSR role
  • Minimum Certificate 4 in OHS/WHS.
  • Ideally have experience within the Commercial construction industry.
  • Ideally have experience using the safety software BuildPass.
  • Ideally have access to other credible site tickets including EWP, Forklift and Working at Heights etc.
